My Favorite Cosmetics

YSL Quote

When it comes to cosmetics, I stay faithful to the same color, brand,
for many years. Pretty much until it goes out of the collection and
I'm forced to buy a replacement.

I love putting on make-up, and do everyday.
I love to draw, so I feel like I'm drawing my face each day.
And in some way do, because I'm one of those who believes she
looks unbearable without any.

Anyway, these are some great products I use:

Primer: Sephora - a smoother-than-smooth primer that evens your foundation.

Foundation: Revlon age defying with botafirm - it's on a more liquid base which means it's smoothes out over your face, rather than creating sticky foundation spots. It also has a sun protector of 20SPF. I use a lighter shade around my eyes.

Concealer: Maybeline super stay stick - for those spots that need a dash of lighter shade, I use it for my chin and eyes.

Eyebrows: Dior eyebrow pencil & eyebrow gel. I make my brows a bit longer and color them in a bit, then I brush them with an eyebrow gel, to make them stay as it is.

Liquid eye-liner: Chanel nr. 31. And this is the most important piece of my make-up collection. I usually make a cat's eye line above my eyes, and for those who have ever tried to do it, know it's very hard. But I'll let you in on a secret: it's all about the pencil you use. I personally can't work with any other pencil than this one.

Mascara: Diorshow & L'oreal lash architect. First I use the Dior mascara, which gives really thick eyelashes. And for the other corners I use the lash architect, for it has a tiny brush.

Lip-liner: Jane Iredale. I vary on the lipliners I use. Right now I'm using this one which is made out of natural minerals and therefore stays all day long on.

Lipstick: Dior Rouge 551 rose cocette. In love with this color. IN LOVE.

Colorful kisses,

A Thing Of Beauty ...

is a joy forever!

French Mademoiselle won
her first giveaway!

I received these lovely French gardenia soaps,
and a pretty little jar from Anya Caliendo's blog
Couture Millinery Atelier.

Six fragant rose soaps are
wafting through my house ...

*Sigh*

*Swoon*

*Faint*

J'adore les chapeaux!

When I was in the Loire Valley, France
a couple of weeks ago, I spotted this modern
artwork at Château de Chambord.

Made me think of Alexander McQueen's
2008 spring / summer collection ...

Don't you think?

Vintage Beauty

I adore vintage beauty items!
Over the years, I’ve collected a variety of vintage goodies
like YSL brushes, old Chanel lipsticks, porcelain beauty trays

I love the faded gold color most vintage make-up items have.

My grandmother gave me this velvet Yves Saint Laurent pouch a few weeks ago.
I’m so in love with it! Do you have any vintage beauty items?
