Paris Photo of the Day: Marie Antoinette's Hamlet

The Hameau de la Reine or The Queen's Hamlet, is a rustic retreat
in the park of the Château de Versailles built for Marie Antoinette near the Petit Trianon.

It served as a private meeting place for the Queen and her closest friends, a place of leisure...

Each one of the cottages is as cute as the next one.

So many pretty and romantic buildings. I especially like the mill. It looks like you chose a quiet time to visit.

Cottages are so whimsical and charming, no matter how old these are, they are so appealing. I want to live there. Seriously.
