The iconic Notre Dame church is on the little island of Île de la Cité, right in the middle of Paris.
It is one of the loveliest places to walk to in Paris
(which, come to think of it, I think I say at every PPOTD-post but ALL of Paris is beautiful to walk!)
The Île de la Cité is the centre of Paris and the location where the medieval city was refounded.
